The material aluminum is very light in weight and also rust-free, making it particularly suitable for garden furniture. At Apple Bee, we sometimes create collections entirely from aluminum, but usually, we combine it with other materials.
For the base frames of our furniture, we almost always use aluminum because it is lighter than steel and wear-resistant. In woven furniture, our Biculair® wicker is woven around the aluminum frame. We produce these aluminum tubes in-house, allowing us to determine the ideal tube shape and wall thickness.
With or without wicker, we powder-coat all our aluminum frames. This process is environmentally friendly and involves no chemicals. Powder coating creates a layer that protects the material from various weather influences. This way, we achieve two goals at once: a beautiful color for the frame and the best quality.
Clean aluminum furniture with lukewarm water and a soft sponge. Optionally, add a mild cleaning agent to the water. In that case, rinse with lukewarm water. Avoid using abrasive agents and scrubbing hard, as this can damage the material.
