I like pure linework. Form follows function, so functionality remains leading. The design serves this purpose. This does not mean that there may not be fun in the design; on the contrary! But always embedded in a total image of peace and balance, in which the power of the lines is preserved. I strive for this peace and balance not only in lines, but also in a mix of materials. People often experience a feeling of luxury and comfort with this. Although you can characterise my work as minimalistic, my design is never strict and rigid, but friendly and inviting. Here too, form follows function. People are central, my design is there for them.

In the Apple Bee collections, it is clear to see that a designer is working with passion for his craft. A designer who stands in the tradition of Dutch Design in which the keywords minimalist, experimental, innovative, unconventional and with a sense of humour are clearly recognisable. Apple Bee furniture is constructed with the best materials. This certainly applies to the cushions. Bee Wett® cushions are special weatherproof cushions that you can simply leave outside. The removable covers are made from strong fabrics that are all washable. In addition to being water-repellent, the fabric is also guaranteed to be UV-resistant. Unlike ordinary foam, the unique Bee Wett® filling does not absorb any moisture. The open fabric at the bottom of the cushion ensures perfect drainage. This ensures that the Bee Wett® cushion dries spectacularly faster than other cushions. The Olefin fabric is rot and mould resistant, UV resistant, moisture resistant, soft and comfortable.

Maintenance
For years people have enjoyed the easy care Bee Wett® cushions from Apple Bee. By maintaining the fabric properly, you can contribute to an optimal lifespan of your cushions. Brush dirt from your cushion before it can settle into the fabric and do not allow spillages to soak in, but remove them immediately. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents or chlorine. You can soak the covers in soapy water and/or wash them on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees. Attention, always rinse well! In order to retain the water-repellent layer of the cushions, you can add a little Harmisol or similar to the final rinse water. The covers should not be centrifuged, tumble dried or ironed. As soon as the washing machine is done, put the cover back on the filling as wet as possible so that, due to the natural stretching of the fabric, it will sit nicely around the filling again.
